For more than 40 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping children discover their own unique “sparkle”—the strengths that help them communicate, learn, grow, and thrive.

As a nationally certified speech-language pathologist, I have always believed that children learn best through movement, imagination, storytelling, and play. Those beliefs have guided every chapter of my career and continue to inspire my work today.
I’ve combined research-based knowledge with a compassionate, child-centered approach. As Director of Reading & Speech Clinic, Inc., I spent many years partnering with families to transform communication challenges into meaningful progress through practical, individualized support.
Today, after retiring from full-time clinical practice, I’ve embraced a new creative adventure through Reading & Speech, Leaf & Loom.
As a writer, designer, and educator, I create whimsical children’s stories, handmade playwear, and imaginative learning experiences that encourage creativity, empathy, language development, and a lifelong connection with nature.
At the heart of everything I create is a simple belief:
Children learn best when they are actively engaged—moving, imagining, creating, and discovering.
Whether through storytelling, handcrafted costumes, interactive activities, or educational resources, my goal is to nurture each child’s natural curiosity and celebrate the gifts that make every child unique.
I hope the stories, creations, and ideas you’ll find here inspire children to wonder, explore, and shine.
Welcome to my world of Reading & Speech, Leaf & Loom.
Whether you’re a parent, educator, therapist, or simply someone who believes in the magic of childhood, I’m delighted you’re here. I hope you’ll explore my stories, play wear, and educational resources.
